It’s Tuesday, and you know what that means. It’s not Friday. BUT there’s  new music from Guantanamo Baywatch, an album from Toro y Moi, and an EP from Upset. Get on it.

Your favorite lifeguards of Northwest surf rock Guantanamo Baywatch premiered a new single “Do What You Want” on Noisey. They’re currently touring Australia but will make a stop in Eugene, OR May 1st for a quick U.S. show. Side note: I’ve always thought the track listing right on the cover is a badass homage to old school albums. Cheers to that. Guantanamo Baywatch’s LP Darling…It’s Too Late will be released May 12th via Suicide Squeeze.

I’ve been listening to Toro Y Moi What For? because why not? I’m filing this album under “Road Trip To Sasquatch” even though they aren’t on the lineup. But Toro Y Moi will be at Coachella, so if you’re one of those lucky punks that’s about to shake their booty in some cutoff denim diaper this weekend and next, I’m jealous.

L.A. band Upset are holding down the fort for indie punk supergroups. For starters, the band is comprised of Ali Koehler (Best Coast), Patty Schemel (ex-Hole), Rachel Gagliardi (Slutever) and Lauren Freeman (Benny The Jet Rodriguez – yes that is a Sandlot reference. Points for you). For nexters, the band’s EP ’76, is available now via Lauren Records. If you’re in Seattle or will be on 4/20, Upset are performing with Colleen Green at The Black Lodge.
