I don’t know about you, but when I’m done with my shift and the only thing that stands between me and my first cigarette or first shift beer is a creeper, he’s going down. Oh yeah, spoiler alert! Sorry. But that’s the conclusion “The Way Out,” an escapists stroll on the fine line between reality and fantasy. What better setting than a gentleman’s club? This is the first official single from Permanent Signal, set for release on the 20th. First thing I thought of when I heard “The Way Out” was an updated “Cath” from Death Cab for Cutie. But I’m feeling that at the moment, considering I’m seeing them at Bumbershoot in a few weeks. It’s also been a while since I’ve seen a good old, musty strip club music video in a while, amirite? It’s easily digestible and makes the point. You can also check out Porcelain Raft “Think of the Ocean” on Secretly Canadian’s site.
