Citizens of Humanity, Where The Hell Have I Been

It’s been a hotenany, it’s been a hot minute. I’ve been moving, for effs sake. But here’s a look.

So things have been wildly spinning out of the normal rotations of my universe lately. Moving is a glorious, stressful, sweat-inducing pain in the ass, and for the past few weeks that’s been my life’s mission: get all the shit I own out of one place and put it in another. Seems simple, right? Never.

But enough belly aching, I’m thrilled to be in my new apartment and things are slowly coming together. Aside from constructing my own Ikea bed BY MYSELF, the most recent hurdle jumped is unpacking my clothes. These Citizens of Humanity pants have been with me for a few years now, mainly because they match my perfect criterion for denim. Mid-rise, perfect length, no ass-crack plumber butt. Beautiful dusty red color. Done. And even though it’s the middle of February, and the Polar Vortex Doomsday State of Emergency Snowpocalypse is making it’s way through the U.S., today was a lovely, warm day in Seattle. I went out without a scarf or hat, just this trench coat from Ivy & Leo and a Madewell shirt.

Hopefully the weather will allow my wardrobe to bloom beyond the black overcoat persuasion. We shall see, but in the meantime, I’ll post some photos of the new place as it comes along and I actually get the Ikea instructions off the floor.
